Macsart AM Tablet is a combination medication used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). It is prescribed when a single medication is not sufficient to control blood pressure effectively. Active Ingredients

• Amlodipine (5 mg): This is a calcium channel blocker. It works by blocking the entry of calcium into the muscle cells of the heart and blood vessels. Calcium is necessary for muscle contraction, and by blocking it, amlodipine causes blood vessels to relax and widen, making it easier for blood to flow.

Dosage and Administration

• Consistent schedule: It's important to take the tablet at the same time each day to maintain a consistent level of the medicine in your body. It can be taken with or without food.
